Puzzle 31
I guess I'm just bored after studying so much (i.e. not much).
Oh well, since I'm feeling kind of bored, I might as well post the next puzzle.
One rainy day I was playing with my imaginary friend a game. I brought out 64 dominoes for us to play with. You see, my friend isn't exactly the brightest light bulb in the room, so he still didn't understand how to play dominoes after I explained to him how to.
Then I had an idea. I took out 2 normal 8x8 checkerboards, and I told him we would be playing a game where the first person to fill up the checkerboard wins. It's boring, I know, but at least he understood the rules.
Unfortunately, due to a recent "flood" in my house, the checkerboards were waterlogged. 2 squares of opposite corners fell off each checkerboard, so there were only 62 unit squares left on each checkerboard.
How should I arrange the dominoes such that they would fill up the entire checkerboard now? Oh, and I don't want to break any dominoes.
I've decided not to post Puzzle 30's answer.
