today is FINALLY the end of HBL!!! xDDD how was the past days for u guys? well, for me, it totally sucked. this HBL thing totally drained all my energy, killed my brain cells and wasted my holiday T_T 3 entire days of my life was spent in front of the computer. on facebook? OH NO. it was on asknlearn.com and mail.dhs.sg. how nice yea? i bet it sounds perfectly interesting. i really miss schl whr learning wasn't this tiring... hais...

gd for u guys, when HBL is done, u all can fret no more and enjoy ur time doing stuff u want. for me? well as if hmk from DHS isnt enough, i still have to prepare for my presentation tmr T_T case study on what parents should and shouldn't do when child is addicted to games. seriously, u want my life? hais... gotta chiong tonight... and tmr's 5hr of st john seriously doesn't help.

peepo, treasure the free time u have watching TV and browsing facebook, cos some of ur awesome classmates aint that lucky(im nt sayin that im the only busy one, some of u guys might be even busier! but well, i bet most of u are quite free ._.)

I haven't posted in a long while, or even checked the blog but when I came back...

I saw spams in the cbox & 'non 1b' & 'non 1k', (I have deleted them.)

Which is why I feel a VERY strong urge to post.

Is this really necessary?

We're all dunmanians, what's more in the same level,

We will have to interact with each other a whole lot for the following years.

What's the point of fighting, quarreling, criticizing or putting each other down?

Wouldn't it be better if you were at peace and have fun with people instead of wasting your time hating?

Hate is a very strong, horrible feeling.

Let it go.

If people have done you wrong, then be the one who's sensible enough to forgive.

I know it can be hard to forgive at times, but you can always try.

When you forgive, you can set yourself free from all the feelings you may harbour; anger, hurt, disappoint etc.

Of course..

It's your choice, your decision.

There are times when we have to give in and compromise.

What are you going to do if you meet people you dislike when you grow up?

Waste your whole life hating?

Why not try to get along?

The utter randomness of this post.

My Saturday:

I had CCA in the morning so I was this casualty who was unconcious. I slept 6 times during CCA :D so glad I did. Then, it was time to go home! I ate lunch with Vinnie and Chan Ming. Then, I took bus home. I was super sleepy. Vinnie and I nearly missed the stop. We got up the train. We became inconsiderate citizens and sat on the seats. We slept. We took bus home. Different bus. I slept on the bus and this aquaintance of my mum woke me up :D. Then on Vinnie's side, she nearly missed her stop but she didn't :D (Although...) I slept the moment I reached home. (Until 7.35pm) Then I ate dinner (took me 2 hours cause I bathed till 8pm, ate a burger till 8.15pm, drank bubbletea till 8.45pm and finished the suhi at 9.30pm. Then I came online to do 3rd language stuff. That's how I my saturday passed.

And my Sunday (tomorrow):

Leave for Sherlyn's house at 8.30am. Reach there at 10am. (Or earlier.) Do stuff at her house. Play her wii. Ransack her house. Eat dinner. Leave her house. Go home. It'll be 9pm by then.

mr lim just told us that we need not go to schl from tues to fri next week as it is vesak day and HBL... are u guys happy? i bet most of you are. everyone loves holidays as they can slack at home and wake up late in the morning. well, at least 99.99% of the students will be glad but theres always that 0.01%, and im part of that. im super sad that there's no schl next week except mon. so sad that i wont get to see u guys for 6 days outta 7. so sad that i wont get to laugh like crazy with u guys :'( kejuju is so awesome that now, i no longer love the hols and weekend(i used to love them when i was in primary schl xD) hais... will miss all of u during the hols :(

im feeling super depressed today and exceptionally feel like crying T_T so many bad things happened to me... i did badly for my summary test, flunked my japanese test and most of all, i lost my wallet. it contained my ezlink card and money, my savings T_T and important stuff... and i was unable to go home aft 3rd lang as i didnt have the card nor did i hav any money... so i had to call my grandma to fetch me home instead, which took super long and i only reached home at 7.35pm. and now, i dunno why, my stomach is aching T.T today is such a terrible day...

now, i still hav to my maths prob and find info for my IH. ._. today sucks. nevertheless, i hope that u guys didnt hav such a bad day(unlike me)

AWESOMEST Class outing

GOSH peepo xD

i'd such an AWESOME class outing yesterday xD i wanted to blog abt it yesterday but was super exhausted so... here im today :P

i started off with going to the pasir ris MRT station with wm but we arrived like 45mins earlier(10.45am) so we decided to walk around whitesands b4 the others arrive. we walked aimlessly for very long and were REALLY bored D: went into shops and looked around... but we happened to come upon the pasir ris national library(obviously, neither of us knew it existed before) and went to read! wm decided to "revive" our childhood so we went to the children's section!!! xD we read awesome children books mine was about seven little monkeys while hers was abt an "awesome" frog which saved the day(getting back frog eggs from the baddies?!) we read aloud until it was time to leave and laughed like mad xD

we met up with joyce and vinnie at the station before seeing the guys. aft tat, we left the guys to wait for the other guys and left for e!hub. most of the girls then arrived and we met up with the guys again at the mall. had lunch at food court. i wasn't exactly hungry so i went to 7-11 to get a waffle instead :P(it doesn't really taste good when plain... should hav added chocolate -.-) then, we proceeded to the arcade to hang out. some of us played games there... wanted to take neoprints but when everyone(well, almost everyone) gathered inside, we found out that the machine wasnt working... ?!? unlucky max D,: IDC!!! NEXT TIME CONFIRM MUST TAKE!!! we had to leave to meet mr lim at the pasir ris park.

it was SUPER SUPER VERY SUPER FUN AND EXTREMELY AWESOME AT THE PLAYGROUND!!! OMIGOSH... missing it so much... i played swing, firefox, slides and blah blah blah!!! AWESOMEST MAX.
i hav no idea when was the last time i went to the playground. not to mention the last time i had this much fun with my awesome classmates xDDD it was hilarious watching the guys playing on the spinning thing! LOL esp when amos and bryan turned round and round and round!!! LAUGHED like siao!!! xDDDDDDDDDDDD then we went climbing like monkeys on the rope thingy. which was awesome, except for the fact that none of us and slide down the slide(except vinnie). FLYING FOX WAS AWESOME!!! damn fun cos it went so fast!!! ahahahahas xDDD argh!!! i wanna go there noooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!

mr lim treated us to アイスクリーム(ice cream) and drinks and chips!!! we played games xD we played basketball and captain's ball(which rocked like nth else xD) i sweated like a tap. seriously, u wouldn't believe how much we moved yesterday xD nevertheless, it was awesome and i loved every single moment of it(except for the part when we trotted under the scorching sun and when i tripped over a decomposed frog... :'(i FREAKED. OUT.)
so... we played for hours... super sad that i had to leave in the end :'( i had no intention of leaving until the 4th bus arrived and i saw all the girls going off and realised that only joyce and i wern't leaving(joyce was walkin home so it didnt matter to her) so, i just grabbed my bag and ran towards the bus with the guys shouting," you'll miss it!" but in the end i caught the bus :) lols xD

chan ming,charlene, yuki and i alighted at the same stop so chan ming treated us to frozen yogurt at whitesands! OMG it rocked like heaven :DDD super nice xD i shared a cup with yuki(choc) while chan ming had plain tart and charlene strawberry . chan ming rockssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!! hahahahas :P

then... chan ming went off to get a present for her mom... super nei jiu that i cnt go with her cos i had to rush home(esp aft she treated me)... IM SRY CHAN MING T.T i'll make it up to u

i LOVE 6th May 2011. it's the best class outing in my entire life :DDD looking forward to the next and upcoming ones! im so gonna spam our june holidays with outings xD

Today we had 1 Kejuju's 2nd Class Outing!!! Everyone had tons of fun, though a few "accidents" happened.

1) We didn't get to take neoprints D:

hello my awesome Kejujus! I know you guys are stressed about tests and exams and all that kinda stuff and Sherlyn has been talking about the history test. Kejujus, there are people who failed, so don't rub it in their faces. It's a sensitive subject. Be considerate and don't go, "OMG, I FAILED!" when you got like, 27/30 or something -.- Unless you really do though, it's fine xD lol.

But anyway, just remember that just because you failed, it is not the end of the world. Don't treat it like a life crisis. Embrace your mistakes, learn from them and move on. don't cry and shout and make a big fuss of it because it isn't important. What's important is that you actually learn from your mistakes and prevent from making it again. So yes, when you don't get what you want, don't shout and treat it like it's a life crisis "OH MY LIFE IS OVER, OMG NOOOO. I DIDN'T GET THE ELECTIVE I WANT..." live with it, okay? at least you learn a new skill.

Uh yea, I think that's all I have to say o.O I sound so bitchy and harsh.

But the tests and all are over for this week! And we have a long weekend ahead! ^^ So yea, don't fret and all. And I hope I didn't offend any of you guys from the above post o.O Sorry if I have though.

nevertheless, there's still a test on the 京剧 tmr... OMG!!! IM SO EXCITED(lols this is like soooo random xD) WE'RE GOING TO CLASS OUTING THIS FRI!!! Now for the 11th puzzle!

RATE AND SPEED

Difficulty: Easy

There are 5 questions to solve in total in this puzzle.


1. A certain kind of bacteria undergoes mitosis (cell division) once every minute. If it takes 1 day for the bacteria to fill up a petri-dish, how long does the bacteria take to fill half of the petri-dish?

These kinds of questions always appeared in every Science Paper, remember?


2. 3 men take 5 days to dig 12 holes. 6 men take 21 days to dig 32 holes. 5 men take 13 days to dig 22 holes. How long does it take for 2 men to dig 11 holes?


3. It takes 5 minutes to boil an egg. What is the minimum time taken to boil 4 eggs?


4. If 3 printers can print 300 sheets of paper in 3 hours, how long does it take for 9 printers to print 900 sheets of paper?


Oops... This last question is slightly harder than the rest.

5. In a 100m sprint, Charles beat Alysha by 10m and Winnie by 15m.
If Alysha and Winnie were to compete in another 100m sprint, and Winnie was given a 5m head start, who would win, Alysha or Winnie?
Assume they ran at constant speeds throughout both sprints and their speeds were the same as their original speeds in the first sprint.
