Puzzle 10
Hi!
Wow, this is already the 10th puzzle!
Test period is coming up soon... be prepared! I'm guessing why this blog is so dead... Everyone must be studying hard. Well, be sure to revive this blog once tests are over!
Moving on...
Below is a list of words.
In case they sound too chim to you, here are their definitions.
Cwm: A U-shaped valley formed by erosion of a glacier
Fjord: Also fiord; a sea that comes into a valley between high cliffs, especially in Norway
Banks: The sides of a river channel
Glyph: Symbols which appear to be characters of a language (E.g. Hieroglyphs)
Vext: Also vexed; the (less common alternative) past tense of vex
Oh dear, it seems that I accidentally missed out one word from the list of words above.
What is the missing word?
Incidentally, a glen is a deep, narrow valley, especially in the mountains of Scotland and Ireland.
Now, drag your mouse over the empty space below for the answer to Puzzle 9!
Trevor finished in the fifth/last position. Below are the full details of the results:
The first person was Dylan. He was register no. 27 and finished in 11:10. That's quick!
The second person was Helen. She was register no. 14 and finished in 13:12.
Jessica came in third. She was register no. 31 and her timing was 14:55.
Kevin finished in the fourth position. He was register no. 9 and finished with a timing of 15:40.
Trevor was last. He was register no. 22 and finished in 17:39.
Well, now I know at least one person in Year 1 finished with roughly the same timing as me :)
Remember, this is highly confidential, so please keep it a secret! :X
