MRT encounter xD

Heyys peepo xD

Today's post is abt the amazing encounter po chien, glen, glenda(yes, their names are amazingly alike xD), me and a few other dunmanians encountered at the bishan MRT station after our third lang classes(and yes, i DO take public transport and go home by myself, stop thinking that im very pampered :P).

I've always wondered how in the world the MRT trains were always able to stop so accurately at stations, with their doors aligned to those on the platforms. i've also always wondered if they actually EVA make a mistake and the doors were not in place.

HAHs. and today, i proved my assumptions correct! xDDD LOLs when the train stopped today, it was totally outta place and the doors weren't aligned. the train tried countless times to reverse to get the doors aligned but to no avail. so as the commuters stared on helplessly, both on the train and platform, the peepo in charge were trying their very best to solve the prob. sadly, the trains on circle line doesnt hav drivers(?) controlling them(according to my cute fwen, glenda), so the prob wasn't able to be solved efficiently. it was quite worrying too as the nest train was abt to arrive and po chien was like "OMG!" cos well, for all we noe, this might actually cos a "train crash". fortunately, this didnt happen :D All the while, when the train was reversing continuously for 10mins to get in place, i was like thinking, "Why dont they just proceed on to the next station rather than wasting everyone's time doing stuff that dont work? then the commuters who were to alight at this station could just take another train back..."

And so, we waited and waited but the train was still pretty stuck at where it was. eventually, they gave up and just moved on to the next station. HAH, see, my suggestion was the most ideal one after all xD the next train came and (luckily) the doors were aligned properly. they opened and commuters started pushing their way in(typical singaporeans). Just as i was abt to enter, without warning, the doors suddenly slammed shut, closing on the haversack of a guy infront of me(but he still managed to get in safely though) Thankfully, i wasn't they type who would push my way in(im a good citizen :) or else, if i had been a second earlier, im pretty sure that i'll be the one smashed between those metal doors and u guys wont be seeing me for quite a few days xD A lady standing nearby had her sandal stuck under the metal door(on the platform, not train) and was unable to move her foot. fortunately, the door worked again and closed, somehow freeing her foot.

This encounter was pretty cool and thankfully, no one was hurt. It has also proved that accidents really do happen. hence, we should actually be grateful abt the times when we're able to travel in public transport safely. so, remember, do not take anything for granted :) appreciate what we have ;)
